Traveling by car and ferry can be a very ecomnomical way to get to the mountains Tignes Les Brevieres has free parking as does Peisey Nancroix, Plan Peisey and Vallandry. If you want to break up the 10 hour journey Djion and Lyon can be good options.

Train its eco friendly well priced and a refreshingly different way to travel to the Alps. The Train departs from London St Pancras, Ashford or Ebbsfleet and arrives at Bourg St Maurice just about half an hour from Tignes and Les Arcs.
